Gerringong – Bewong

Had a couple days of very heavy rainfall, so I just relaxed and caught up on some reading and planning

When I looked out the wind was blowing and the rain was really coming down.

You can see the weather band!

It continued for couple days… with just a couple let ups.

I did make it up to Kiama to pick up a different Sim Card for Telstra as people tell me it is the best to have outside the cities. Coming out of the store, their was a bench with a plaque ….. Liked this one.

Then another look at the Blow hole!

Then Friday I decided to ride south to meet up with Mark ( ADV Screenname SlowBikeSmallpenis ) who lives just south in Bewong.

As I rode down to check out 7 mile beach….. The rain started and poured as I rode south. The first day I have ridden in the rain for the better part of a year Not used to it

Arrive at Marks place early afternoon, he finished up work while I made use of the time to keep reading!

Then of course like any quality ADV rider he took some photos!

We had evening “Tea” with his 93 year old Father who is amazing! and his sister at the local RSL. Was great to meet them!

Took a little look at the Kangaroo’s in his neighborhood. Not the last I will see of these. These are grey Kangaroo’s

And more varieties of Flora. Here are some bottle brushes.

Saturday Mark had plans to go to see a Rugby League match….. So he invited me along. That made it a threesome with his date, Sue

Unfortunately the Dragons lost ….. Mark and Sue were cheering them on… They take their sports very seriously in Oz!

MArk will have to post some photos as I did not take any of the three of us!

Sunday We rode out to Nerriga Pub to meet up with a few other riders!!

Stopping to see a few sights along the way.

and of course I am experiencing the multitude of new creatures along the Australian roads. Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wambats…..

We arrive at Nerriga Pub, lots of bikes out for a Sunday Ride. Was great to meet the ADV riders who made it for lunch. ferals5, BergDonk, slowbike smallpenis, Dave and Lee.

Shared a great meal, lots of talk about riding and bikes!!

and a bit of a memorial about Ned Kelly. Will talk about this more later in the ride as I plan to stop at the Museum along the way!

Mark showed me a few sights on the way back to Bewong

Then out to Jarvis Bay …..

Before putting the bikes away for the day.

Had a great dinner at Mark’s house Corn beef had been cooking all day! Yummy. Fortunately Lee joined us for dinner as well. Great Evening.

Big Thanks to Mark
