January 6-8, 2024 more of the adventure

After Hobbiton, was coming into a roundabout. The car in front hit his brakes super hard, when he could have gone on through. Hit the brakes hard and the off camber road, I had to go to right of car and had a tip over 🙁 did not hit car, but was almost stopped and ended up braking the turn indicator…  Super bummer. Was close to Hamilton and Boyds BMW. Stopped in to order new assemble. Will arrive in couple days.

New Plymouth is on the west coast new Mt Tananaki. Took a day to walk around town, and on the coastal walk. Then. Sunday took a ride up to Mt Tarananki .

Then off to Modern Art Museum and Local Museum.

The Modern museum featured  Filmaker and Kinetic Artist from Len Lye.

 Including “storm” presentation of his Kinetic works.

Then a Sunday early ride to check out Mt Taranaki. 

 Mt taranki in the distance about 35 Miles away.

Into the national park.

Then off to the south.

Down to the “surf Highway” to head back around the loop.

Always Give Way at turns and roundabouts

And some good KIWI humor. speed cameras in use, and very tight speed limits. 

Beautiful Black sand beaches.

And of course Lunch in an Irish Pub.
