Had my rest in Napier and enjoyed the pool and exploring the town.

Rolled out the next morning along the coastline toward Gisbourne. Weather was cloudy with bit of mist.

Appreciating the road signs.

Arrived Gisbourne early afternoon in the rain. Was able to book into a motel down near the ocean, to hang my gear to dry, and a lunch at nearby coffee shop and relax.

When traveling once I am off the bike, I like to walk and explore. A nice Hippy coffee shop. Sat and enjoyed.

Later was able to take a long walk on the beach between rain drops.

Nice fresh Pacific Ocean air. Clear the head and appreciate my travels and the conversations I have been having. Need to take a few more photos with people I am talking with – always in the moment and forget to ask.

This has been a good time to reflection on life. I am still connected with technology – Phone, Text and emails. Mostly this is a good thing to stay in contact. It’s our world now to have instant contact. Some is super helpful, and glad to have it. Others keep the tug of “regular” life at home going. Since I am in Summer here, watching weather at Home, and neighbors checking in as well. Some Snow, Cold and Ice at home. While I am enjoying Mid to Hugh 70’s F.

Yes indeed I was right there.

On the walk back to hotel, there is a nice little “sharing” stand. People drop off goods – Food, clothes etc. People can stop and take as they need or add to the donations. Nice community idea.
