Continued to ride up Northern California. Had to do the touristy thing and ride through a Big RedWood tree (it is the only one of the three that I had not stopped and done!!
The Redwoods are huge!
and of course a Photo at the Trees of Mystery … Paul Banyon and ox.
Riding the Hwy 101 Northward.
Was about 3 miles from the border….. Listen to my iPod in shuffle mode (I have some 5,000 songs) ….. But Homeward Bound came on! Very cool moment as I rolled up to the border listening to this song. Indeed I am HOMEWARD BOUND!
ANd a very Kind comment from my friends!
You are a one-man global peace mission.
So many people, so many stories, so much love shared. You have brought smiles and joy to us all – especially those who have met you.
You have blessed us all with your perceptive blog posts as you shared your stories of faith, hope and courage on the road.
All the best for a blessed and joyful homecoming and best wishes for the future.

So this is it. One more night on the road, and then I will ride back home. “how does it feel?” “what will you do next?” and other questions I have gotten in the past few weeks…… Still in the middle of all of them, with no defined answer. Just going with the moments and enjoying this final leg of my travels.
For those in Portland who want to see me upon arrival, I have decided to stop just up the road at the starbucks (16398 SW Boones Ferry Road, Lake Oswego- near New Zupans). Sunday Dec 15th at 1:30PM. Then a short ride the final mile to my house!! Nothing formal, just the opportunity for friends that were there when I left to say hello!! 926 days on this journey is coming to a close!
For anyone wanting to get out and ride the last bit. I think I will be stopping for brunch in McMinnville (location to be determined!) at about 11;15-30.
Stay tuned. I will update in this post! (later today)
Into Coos Bay for the night, then Lincoln City for Saturday Night. Then the last 100+ miles to my house arriving on Sunday Afternoon. Who’s riding with me?
