As my rear hub was getting worse, it seems like the more I was aware of it

Thanks to Woody’s Wheel Works for getting this wheel sent out, and for SYDADVGS for forwarding the wheel onto me in Brisbane.

Was up early on Wednesday Am and rode 100KM back down to Brisbane to pick up the package and then get it fitted and get back on the road. The Sunshine coast was not too sunny

I rolled into the couriers office at about 8:15 am

Initially they said that the Sydney packages had not been unloaded

Then I gave him the tracking number but he could not find it in the system …….. Finally figured out he wrote the tracking number down wrong So I rode down the street to have a cup of coffee and some “brekkie”

He called 40 minutes later to say he had my package and I could pick it up anytime!!

Off to find Tyres for Bikes in Albion about 5-10 Minutes away!

I arrive, drive into a dry spot in the shop, pull my old wheel off, and open up the package of my new wheel.

Dave was great and very helpful. Decided to have a new tyre installed on the new rim.

Got a new Mitas E-07 Dual sport tyre. A compromise but it will last across the country!

After it is all fitted, I roll back up to the Sunshine coast and stopped to drop the Old wheel off to Lachy. He will get the hub sleeved and hopefully find it a new home for someone that could use it! Here he is on his new purchase R60/6

Then back up to PanheadPetes House to repack my gear on the bike and ride north! Thanks Pete for letting me stay at your place enjoying the Sunshine coast!

I rode north and rode to Biggenden on a mix of main and back roads!

Then into Biggenden

I meet up with Jock Adams at the Commercial Hotel for Dinner and some conversation. He reckons that as we ADvriders are all “wanders” which is why we can connect up and have an evening of conversations just like old friends.

The Pork Chop with Garlic sauce was really good

We were talking about costs in Oz, and Jock said that people use all kinds of ways to reduce costs!

Jock must have liked the USA as he had a wallet with some greenbacks

Have seen alot of these premixed drink bottles in OZ and NZ. Never seen them in the US but they are popular here.

It is great to have the rear wheel issue resolved and so glad to be riding with confidence again! North I go!
