Sunday Morning after meeting up with Timmer and his wife, my Nephew Adam and I decided to go to the Museum of Flight in Seattle. It was 787 day. Very cool looking plane made of Carbon Fiber. Finally got released to Boeing customers so they will be flying commercially soon.
They had one parked up next to the building in the parking lot. it was plane # 001
up close at the engines…
Then Adam got to tour the museum as I headed to my brothers house.
Quick stop at a Seattle Landmark for a burger and fries!
And my Buddy Sam posted this on ADV rider for me.
Ok
On a high note I am SOoooo ready to head south. So amigo whats the status on the Beemer resurrection?
It’s getting cold here in Boise So don’t you want to visit a boring little place south of the border
I have a couple more things to take care of and I am ready
Beside you needed a bump back to page one.
Hey Mark: I met you at Max BMW last year, you were getting tires. I want to ride to Fort Collins, CO to do a 10 day ride with my son. I have a lot of anxiety about doing this, any advise? I plan to leave 5/18/12 +/- I want to use little highway. I am riding a 2005 R1200GS. 65 But just a rookie ADV rider. 🙂
You Are The Best!

Hello Dano,
Sounds like an great adventure with your son. I say go for it. What are you anxious about? safety? Riding? logistics?
What I can say; is that the memory that you create with your son will really be something to be cherished for a lifetime. The travel, time together, seeing some of the great areas in the rockies would be great.
As a “rookie” just make sure that you have taken the Rider Safety course so that you have confidence to handle your bike in all conditions. With a long journey we all have some pre-ride anxiety. That is a good thing. I would suggest that you ride no more than 300 miles in a day, take lots of breaks to stretch and enjoy the ride, and stop early in the afternoon to settle into to a room, and relax. don’t push too hard. Lastly have the best riding and safety gear you can.
Then have a great ride.!! you can always email me specifics and we can “talk”
